The UConn Procedures Center

The UConn Procedures Center recently ranked near the 90th percentile nationally for overall patient satisfaction.

What's more, when compared with more than 285 ambulatory surgery units nationwide, our nurses at the UConn Procedures Center ranked in the 91st percentile for providing quality comfort and patient care and  in the 92nd percentile for supplying essential information to our patients and their families in a timely fashion.

According to the results of the most recent survey conducted, our physicians ranked in the 94th percentile for having provided clear, concise explanations to our patients in a friendly, approachable manner.

The UConn Procedures Center provides state-of-the-art services using precision endoscopic equipment and conveniently located dictation rooms and computers. It also provides patients comfortable surroundings with convenient on-site parking.

UConn patients report that they feel ready to be discharged soon after their procedure has been completed and do not feel their discharge comes to soon. Additionally, our patients report that their privacy is genuinely protected and respected by our staff of professionals. Surveys show our patients are very likely to recommend the services provided at the UConn Procedures Center, to others in the community. 

Some steps we've taken to make your visit to the UConn Procedures Center more relaxed and enjoyable:

• Blue floor dots lead to the cafeteria which enable family members easier access and provide a direct route to the cafeteria.

• Well-marked and improved outdoor signage provides easier access to the Procedures Center when arriving or leaving during hours of darkness.

• Improved design and decor of our waiting room provides a more comfortable, home-like setting for family members.

• Plans are underway to redesign the preoperative patient care area to better consolidate preoperative care with added privacy.

The Procedures Center is an integral component of the Perioperative Division of the UConn Health Center. It has a dedicated staff including:

• Anesthesiologists
• Registered Nurses
• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists
• Support Staff
