Your Guide to Surgery
At John Dempsey Hospital, we provide excellent surgical
care for our patients in our
state-of-the-art facilities designed for same day surgery.
Our goal is make your surgical experience a positive one for
you and your family.
Our patients have access to experienced surgeons,
anesthesia staff, registered nurses, surgical technicians
and other staff who make your care and privacy our number
one priority. If you have any questions or concerns while
you are in our care, we encourage you to ask any member of
our team. We will be happy to answer your questions or to
assist you.
Your surgery, both same day surgery and those requiring
hospital admission, may be performed at either of our
outpatient locations. It is important that you are clear
about the location of your procedure. If you are uncertain

Farmington Surgery Center |

At the Farmington Surgery Center, we’ve taken outpatient surgery to a new
level. The surgery center is a state-of-the-art facility designed
exclusively for ambulatory surgery. It contains fully equipped operating
rooms and postoperative patient care areas. For all its advanced technology
and high quality care, the Center is a warm, friendly place where your
health and well-being are our number one priority.
Directions to the Farmington Surgery Center
To get to the UConn Health Center, take I-84 East or West to Exit 39. Turn
right at the first light (end of ramp) onto Farmington Avenue (Route 4)
East. Continue three more lights (1 mile) and turn right into the UConn
Health Center.
Upon arriving at the Health Center, take the first
left onto Circle Road. Take the first right into the parking
lot. Bear left at the Farmington Surgery Center entrance,
located on the upper parking lot level. Enter through the
glass doors and check-in at the reception desk.

The UConn Procedures Center, located in the main hospital
building, offers high quality care to patients who require
hospital admission, as well as to patients who are having
ambulatory surgery. Our goal is to provide our patients, and
their loved ones, with a safe and comfortable surgical
experience. Whether you are being admitted, or going home
after surgery, you will be cared for by the same
professional, highly skilled staff members utilizing the
latest state-of-the-art technology.
Directions to the UConn Procedures Center
To get to the UConn Health Center, take I-84 East or West to Exit 39. Turn
right at the first light (end of ramp) onto Farmington Avenue (Route 4)
East. Continue three more lights (1 mile) and turn right into the UConn
Health Center.
Upon arriving at the Health Center, continue
through the first stop sign with the overhead flashing
light. Bear left at the fork and after the next (second)
stop sign, take the first right. Follow the blue signs
directing you to the UConn Procedures Center located on the
upper parking lot level. Enter through the glass doors and
check-in at the reception desk.
