Clinical Trials

Choosing to participate in a clinical trial is an important personal decision. In order to make a fully informed decision, it is often helpful to talk to your health care provider, family members, or friends about deciding to join a trial. After you have identified some trial options, the next step is to contact the study research staff and ask questions about specific trials.

There are two ways to access listings of clinical trials at the UConn Health Center: First, we maintain lists of:

Second, we invite you to turn to one of the most comprehensive online sources of clinical trials listings:

• ClinicalTrials.gov

Created and maintained by the National Institutes of Health, ClinicalTrials.gov provides a database of clinical trials taking place throughout the United States, including here at the UConn Health Center. This site allows you to search by disease, treatment, location, and other criteria.

Important Tip: When searching for UConn Health Center trials, be sure to include the words "University of Connecticut Health Center" in the search box.
